Shaping the perfect experience
During my master's studies in 2019, I worked on a project to develop a website concept for cultural experiences in Berlin. In that year, well over 1000 events were happening every day in Berlin metropolitan area.

The project started with market research in the cultural event industry. Two main competitors were determined in the process: Ask Helmut and Mit Vergnügen. After the analysis, I then mapped out the touchpoints as well as the positive and negative experiences in the customer journey to better understand the competitors. I was able to define the problem and develop a website strategy after this exercise.
Competitor analysis
Ask Helmut and Mit Vergnugen are the main competitors that offer cultural events information in Berlin. They both have a large number of users. The analysis consists of touchpoints, positive/negative experiences, and high/low points.
Concept development
After the analysis, a website concept - Wawani, was developed to address the issues in product-market fit with three leading ideas that stand out from the competitors: categorized daily tips, multiple languages, and simplicity. A sitemap was also developed with improved categorization.

One of the most distinct features this website offer is the Sunday Experience, where users can enjoy cultural experiences every Sunday with a guided tour and socialization in the community.
